Telal Fashions, in collaboration with the Ajman Free Zones Authority, proudly presents "Ebra Wa Khait" (Needle & Thread), a four-day immersive and activity-driven summer vacation program for students. This initiative aligns with the ongoing “Saifna Saada” campaign, offering a blend of educational and training opportunities designed to make summer both productive and enjoyable.
Program Highlights
The activities were held at Infinity Garments, one of the largest factories under Ajman Free Zone and the central manufacturing unit for Telal Fashions. Renowned as the biggest kandura production facility in the UAE, Infinity provided participants with a unique opportunity to explore the intricate process of kandura creation—from fabric selection to the final product ready for delivery. A guided tour through various units and divisions of the factory allowed students to witness firsthand the craftsmanship involved in traditional garment production.
Participants engaged in a diverse range of activities, including:
- Cultural Heritage & Fashion: Explore the UAE’s rich cultural heritage and the evolution of traditional fashion, with a focus on the iconic kandura.
- Fundamentals of Fashion Design: Acquire essential knowledge in fashion design, including figure drawing, color theory, and the principles of design.
- Practical Skills: Hands-on workshops covering techniques such as hemming, fabric cutting, stitching, and embroidery.
In addition to lectures, presentations, interactive sessions, and video showcases, the program offered practical demonstrations, training on materials and machines, and hands-on experience with various products. Friendly competitions added an element of fun, with participants winning gifts and prizes. Parents were also invited to participate in select sessions and training, making it a family-friendly experience.
Part of a Larger Vision
The "Ebra Wa Khait" program is an integral component of Telal’s broader summer campaign, Nabdhat Al Saif (Summer Vibes), which celebrates the vibrancy of the Arabian summer. The campaign includes sales drives, the launch of new concepts and products, social media campaigns, and community engagement initiatives, all aimed at highlighting the positive aspects of the season.
This program not only educates and inspires but also fosters a deep appreciation for the rich traditions and modern innovations in fashion, ensuring participants leave with a memorable and enriching experience.
